7075-T6 aluminium tube for Staffs : the strongest tubing for fire props, unbendable

Literally the strongest alloy of aluminium available to make any kind of juggling, spinning, contact staffs and more. And the only one highly unlikely to bend in normal use conditions. After 6 years of using the same tubes, we are proud to say that they are more durable than any wicking. We have rewicked several times the same tubes over the years and it is still like day one.
They are almost as strong as steel, and not so far behind carbon fiber for the same weight. Unlike carbon fiber, they cannot melt or crack, and don't need complicated manufacturing to make a fire staff.

Available in 8 sizes that should fit most of your DIY needs. To order, enter the exact length needed in centimetres.
Ex: for double staff enter 90cm; for a contact staff 150cm.

It's almost twice as strong as aluminium 6061 that is generally used for fire staff and readily available. After long and painful research, we know that there is no retail available for the sizes we need of aluminium 7075-T6 in Europe.

It is mostly used to make aircraft, and is very rarely produced in tubes, which makes the access so limited. We worked hard to be able to source it with the proper certification of quality and at an affordable price to make our props!

Tubing Size

7.9 mm OD × 0.7 mm wall

, Good for eating torches, mini props, fire arrows, or other very small props. Not made for impact or heavy fire props. Maximum length: 150 cm.

9.5 mm OD × 0.7 mm wall

, Good for eating torches, mini props, very light leviwands, and penspinning props. Maximum length: 150 cm.

11 mm OD × 1 mm wall

, Good for very thin double staffs (tip tail), leviwands. Maximum length: 150 cm.

13 mm OD × 1 mm wall

, Suitable for light double staffs, contact leviwands. Maximum length: 150 cm.

16 mm OD × 1 mm wall

, The most used tube size. Only 100 gr per meter and still very resistant. Ideal for double staffs, swords, contact swords, contact and juggling triples, torches of all kinds, thai staff, hybrid staffs for fishtails and double contact, cubes, etc. Not recommended for full-length contact staffs: too bouncy on long and heavy props. Resistance not tested for that use. Maximum length: 150 cm.

19 mm OD × 1 mm wall

, Good option for contact staffs shorter than 130 cm, swords. Stiffer than 16 mm while keeping a light weight. Maximum length: 150 cm.

19 mm OD × 1.5 mm wall

, Our favorite option for Contact Staff. Unbendable and only 300 gr for full length. Maximum length: 150 cm.

22 mm OD × 1 mm wall

, Ideal for dragon staffs, lyco torches and swords, fast and light contact staffs. Weight is close to carbon fiber tubes usually used. Works very well for Siam Powder or Lyco torches: the large inner diameter lets you fit a lot of powder. Maximum length: 160 cm.

Dowels

We can add 5 cm of wood pushed tightly in both ends of the tube. They have 2 roles:

Prevent hot air from travelling into the tube and heating it up.

Help holding the screw or other anchor used to secure the wicks.
