Fire Jump/Skipping Rope

A real reinforced Kevlar fire jump rope you actually skip with. Adjustable from 205 to 305 cm, PX3 handles

Everyone knows how a jump rope works. The fire jump rope works the same way, except the rope is on fire now. That's the pitch, and we think it makes total sense.

The burning part is a 100% Kevlar wick, 16 mm thick, which gives you a steady flame. That wick is 160 cm down the middle, 185 cm once you count the metal fittings and quicklinks. The rest of the length is adjustable Technora rope with a handle, so you set the fire jump rope to the exact size you need.

We recently added an extra 30 cm of Kevlar sleeve over the middle of the wick, right where the rope takes the most damage onto the floor. It gives the fire jump rope a considerably longer lifetime, and we do it for the same price! It's both glued and sewed on the rope for maximum durability.

The rope is made of Technora, very smooth and fire resistant. Finished with a PX3 handle in the colour you pick, which is comfortable to hold.

The full range runs 205 to 305 cm total, right in the same ballpark as a regular skipping rope. The old solo rule still holds: your height plus roughly 90 cm lands most adults in the upper half. Go shorter for a tighter solo rope, and push toward 305 cm if you want enough slack to play with other people, someone turning it while another runs in. If you want the fire jump rope mainly for solo work, stay on the lower half of the range.

One real warning. This is not the rope you grew up with. Don't whip it into the ground. Kevlar is made to burn, not to take a beating against concrete, and it will snap if you treat it like a battle rope.

Fire jump ropes are far from being the safest prop to use. There can be a scenario where the rope gets tangled around you and creates a dangerous situation. More than any other prop, this requires having someone trained to sit safety while you are using it on fire.

And of course, a lot of practice without fire before you light it up.
