Static Fire Poi
The Original Static Fire poi - Static Kevlar braid, ideal for juggling, throws and 3 poi routines. The best fire poi in the world, original design. From 150 €.
Looking for fire poi that push the limits of what you can do with fire? That offer unbeatable comfort?
Our Static Fire Poi are unique, allowing sensations and tricks that are impossible to reproduce with soft rope or chains. Everything feels cleaner, and easier.
They were born from a personal need: I knew what I needed, but it didn't exist. Today they are the world reference, and everyone who has tried them hasn't gone back.
The Static Kevlar rope is specially developed for this in France. Just flexible enough to suit most styles, rigid when thrown, and extremely responsive overall.
The Rolls Royce of fire poi, used by the best professionals and fire companies worldwide: Vojta Stolbenko, Tim Goddard, Gustavo Ollitta, Bow Juggler, Mel Antispinner, SuperCHO, Boris Millet, Thibault Chabbert, Keith and Antonia, and many others. Our static fire poi have traveled the world.
We designed and released the first fire poi of this kind. It started a shift in the high-end fire poi scene. Today, most other shops have started making their own. We're proud to have set that trend back in 2020.
Made with our exclusive dense braiding of Static Kevlar continuous fibers, custom made in France. They're built for extreme durability and heat resistance, lasting longer than 12 mm Technora. They have some flexibility despite being rigid and very stable in the air. Out of all the options on the market, this is the only Static Kevlar that has been designed for this purpose, and it changes everything. We designed them so they don't feel bulky doing isolations or other spinning moves. And remain incredibly stable when you throw and stall them!
Why Choose Our Static Fire Poi
Smooth feeling — Both very stable when thrown, highly responsive for stalls and direction changes, while maintaining a minimum of flexibility for everything else.
Long-lasting — Built with our custom Static Kevlar, made in France. And the best possible 100% pure Kevlar wicks, made in Italy.
Made by a poi juggler — Every detail was tested and adjusted through real on-stage juggling with 3 fire poi routines. A genuine passion for pushing fire poi further and performing with them ourselves is what led us to develop this unique product.
Original Monkey Fist 200 gr vs Isis 170 gr
Original Monkey Fist
Perfect for slow spinning, throws, and juggling. This is our best-seller. My favorite for 3 poi work and all slow, controlled patterns. Works great if you're used to 95 mm or 100 mm contact poi.
The secret lies in the lightweight, non-absorbent core. In technical routines, you don't want your poi to lose half their weight during your session. Most fire poi made exclusively from Kevlar are very heavy at the start and become much lighter towards the end of the burn.
We have reduced absorbency so that our Static Monkey Fist have less weight variation during a session and offer a much more consistent feel throughout the burn. The burn time is still way enough, at around 8 min with paraffin.
Isis
A bit lighter and faster. Ideal for more quick, dynamic movements and fast flowers. Perfect if you usually spin with 90 mm contact poi or smaller. The Static rope keeps the tether stable, while the head produces an impressive flame.
Slightly shorter burn time, and the flame is more intense due to the unique surface shape of the Isis knot.

Handle Choice
Silicone Knobs by PLAY — Trusted for 10+ years, excellent balance. 30 gr
Our best seller and often the favorite for poi juggling. Dense, very durable, very grippy, with great UV colors.
Careful: prolonged contact with fuel can damage them. If they swell or become squishy, stop using them and contact us.
Widmar XL (3D printed) — Extra squishy, super comfy. 10 gr
Very soft, flat-bottomed, perfect for 2 poi in 1 hand, they naturally catch each other and sit in place.
Not grippy at all, making releases very easy. Gentle on the wrists, even with high throws.
Fuel-resistant, tear-resistant, and heat-resistant — practically unbreakable. Weight can be adjusted with washers (1 washer = 5 gr).
LED Handles by UltraPoi — Colorful and rechargeable. 26 gr
Can NOT fit Technora 12 mm. Rechargeable. Multiple light patterns. Balanced weight and texture.
Want to see your handles during night throws? Want more visuals on stage? When spinning fire poi, the audience often can't see the handles, neither do you. These fix that.
Designed for poi spinners, jugglers, and flow artists who want a durable, bright, and versatile LED handle.
Technical Details
What is the difference between Kevlar wicks and Static Kevlar? Kevlar wicks are made with spun yarn, small fibers tangled together. That makes them highly absorbent but not very resistant. It cannot take heavy loads but is perfect for making wicks. Our Static Kevlar, like close to all synthetic ropes, uses continuous para-aramid fibers in a dense braid. This rope will easily pull your car. Even your van. That's why it's perfectly safe as a tether.
Some information about fire resistant Static Ropes have been quite misleading. Debating the differences between Static Technora and Static Kevlar for example, really makes no sense. I've purchased all the Static Kevlar available on the market and they all vary in construction, density and feeling. So do the Static Technora. Both Technora and Kevlar handle up to 500°C, and are very similar fibers in terms of feeling for fire poi. It's not about the material brand name, it's about how it's built.

How to choose the right poi length?
The right length depends on your body (arm extended, thumb to chest) and your spinning style: shorter for speed and sharp stops, longer for a slower, more grounded flow.
When in doubt, go longer. You can shorten a rope, you cannot add length. We made this tab to give some reference of the average our customers like, but personal experience and preference go first.
We have a much more complete blog article about this topic: HERE
| Your height | Short Poi | Average Poi | Long Poi |
|---|---|---|---|
| 160 cm - 5'3" | 51 cm - 20" | 56 cm - 22" | 61 cm - 24" |
| 170 cm - 5'7" | 54 cm - 21" | 59 cm - 23" | 64 cm - 25" |
| 180 cm - 5'11" | 57 cm - 22.5" | 62 cm - 24.5" | 67 cm - 26.5" |
| 190 cm - 6'3" | 60 cm - 23.5" | 65 cm - 25.5" | 70 cm - 27.5" |
If your height falls between two rows, do a quick rule of three. You're a fire spinner, you can handle this.

Fire Safety
Soak 90% of the head, let the rest absorb naturally. Never soak longer than 2–3 seconds. If fuel drips from the wick, it's already too much. Even on the first burn.
Never let the poi burn without moving for more than 10–15 seconds. The Static Rope can handle fire well while in movement.
Be careful if you have PomGrip, Silicone or LED handles. These can get damaged if kept together with your wicks. Fuel can transfer and degrade the handles permanently. Store your props in a dry place out of direct sunlight: UV slowly degrades the wicks.
Never perform with fire alone: a dedicated safety assistant and a ready-to-use fire blanket are non-negotiable.
