These fire Static Snake Poi are designed for advanced poi moves and professional fire shows. Thanks to our Static Kevlar, and some extra weight at the bottom, the feeling is very similar to normal Poi. For the first time, a Snake Poi gives the ability to throw, stall, and even juggle 3, all while producing the most impressive flames for your audience.
Definitely not beginner-friendly. They get very hot and you need to be used to spinning fire.
Our design is so good that other makers are trying to replicate it. We take the compliment!
Why We Created Static Snake Poi
We created these snakes because no one else was making a Snake Poi that allowed for throws and super technical routines. We ran our Static Kevlar rope through the entire wick to remove the floppy feeling and give you a solid, throwable poi that still looks like a fire snake when it burns.
Just like the Static Fire Poi, our Static Snakes set a new standard for fire poi.
We set the standard length to 75 cm because it matches the feel of a Poi of around 60 to 62 cm. With a ball, the center of gravity is at the center of the ball. Same with the longer rope, the center of gravity is around two thirds down the wick (thanks to the additional weight we add at the bottom). So the feel, excluding the length, is similar to an average poi.

XL Wicks for Long Burn Time
We experimented with 13 mm Kevlar rope and created a fire poi wick that produces even more overwhelming flames, lasting 3.5 – 4 minutes.
This is not for beginners AT ALL. You will probably need fire resistant gloves and sleeves to use these comfortably.
Only for those who need longer burn times for large gigs and choreography.

Careful : prolonged contact with fuel can damage them. If they swell or become squishy, stop using them and contact us.

Very soft, flat-bottomed, perfect for 2 poi in 1 hand, they naturally catch each other and sit in place.
Not grippy at all, making releases very easy. Gentle on the wrists, even with high throws.
Fuel-resistant, tear-resistant, and heat-resistant, practically unbreakable. Weight can be adjusted with washers (1 washer = 5 gr).

Fire Safety
Soak 90% of the head, let the rest absorb naturally. Never soak longer than 2–3 seconds. If fuel drips from the wick, it's already too much. Even on the first burn.
Never let the poi burn without moving for more than 10–15 seconds. The Static Rope can handle fire well while in movement.
Be careful if you have PomGrip, Silicone or LED handles. These can get damaged if kept together with your wicks. Fuel can transfer and degrade the handles permanently. Store your props in a dry place out of direct sunlight: UV slowly degrades the wicks.
Never perform with fire alone: a dedicated safety assistant and a ready-to-use fire blanket are non-negotiable.
