Will last a lifetime and is both flexible with spinning, and super stable when thrown and stalled

This rope was found first by Willow Solow, and is truly amazing! Will last a lifetime and is both flexible with spinning, and super stable when thrown and stalled, the perfect compromise! It will shrink by 2 cm to 5 cm after a few months.

Personally, as a poi juggler, it is my favorite rope! I know most people will choose the semi static or static options, but I like this rope because it is very smooth and versatile. Stable in the air, I like that the rope slides between my fingers to catch the knob and correct mistakes. It also feels really good for spinning and any 2 poi tech.

The 8 mm rope matches exactly our Isis Technora 8 mm, and the 11 mm matches exactly our Gorilla Technora 12 mm.

Rope Diameter

8 mm

Feels quite thin and is the most flexible. It is still very stable when thrown.

10 mm

The classic and most versatile. You couldn't go wrong with that.

11 mm

More on the rigid side. Recommended more for juggling, stalls, and slow styles. Fits better with 100 mm balls.

Handle Choice

PX3 by PLAY — Classic, simple, adjustable weight. 7 gr

The most basic and efficient knob. With ropes up to 10 mm, there is enough space to secure the rope with a simple knot, allowing you to adjust the total length yourself if needed.

Washers can be added to increase weight, add a note if needed (1 washer = 3 gr).

Pom Grips by LanternSmith — Soft rubber, ergonomic. 16 gr

A refined version of the PX3. Slightly heavier and more grippy, with a very pleasant texture in the hand. Perfect for small hands and 2 poi in 1 hand work.

Silicone Knobs by PLAY — Trusted for 10+ years, excellent balance. 30 gr

Our best seller and often the favorite for poi juggling. Dense, very durable, very grippy, with great UV colors. Available in two sizes : small version works well with 6 mm rope. The larger hole makes attachment easier, with more space to work.

Widmar XL (3D printed) — Extra squishy, super comfy. 10 gr

Created over 10 years ago by passionate prop maker Justin Widmar, they've been among the most loved handles on the market ever since. Very soft, flat-bottomed, perfect for 2 poi in 1 hand, they naturally catch each other and sit in place.

Not grippy at all, making releases very easy. Gentle on the wrists, even with high throws. Fuel-resistant, tear-resistant, and heat-resistant, practically unbreakable.

Plenty of internal space for a finishing knot with thinner ropes, making length adjustments easy. Weight can be adjusted with washers (1 washer = 5 gr).

Ball Choice

90 mm — 170 gr

The most common choice. Fits almost everyone unless you prefer very heavy poi. Slightly squishy and forgiving on impact. Ideal size for catching the head which is harder to do with 100 mm.

100 mm — 210 gr

More weight means more control. Great for throws, stalls, and slow spinning. Can feel tiring for fast spinning. Good match for heavier fire heads.

100 mm Glitter — 200 gr

Very pretty. Enough said.

How to choose the right poi length?

The right length depends on your body (arm extended, thumb to chest) and your spinning style: shorter for speed and sharp stops, longer for a slower, more grounded flow.
When in doubt, go longer. You can shorten a rope, you cannot add length. We made this tab to give some reference of the average our customers like, but personal experience and preference go first.
We have a much more complete blog article about this topic: HERE
These ropes shrink 3 to 5 cm over time, which makes this advice even more relevant.

Your height Short Poi Average Poi Long Poi
160 cm  -  5'3" 51 cm  -  20" 56 cm  -  22" 61 cm  -  24"
170 cm  -  5'7" 54 cm  -  21" 59 cm  -  23" 64 cm  -  25"
180 cm  -  5'11" 57 cm  -  22.5" 62 cm  -  24.5" 67 cm  -  26.5"
190 cm  -  6'3" 60 cm  -  23.5" 65 cm  -  25.5" 70 cm  -  27.5"

If your height falls between two rows, do a quick rule of three. You're a fire spinner, you can handle this.
