Now we're getting really serious! Massive flames, a slow spin and a long burn. A really good option for poi juggling. Not recommended for beginners as they can be quite tiring and produce scary flames.
These massive Monkey Fist poi, paired with thick and stiff 12 mm Technora tethers, are for those who like heavy and stable poi with a massive flame and long burn time. Made with 13 mm 100% Kevlar rope, these fire poi give you the power and durability you need.
They are probably the most durable design of all the fire poi we have. We can also downgrade the Technora to 9 mm or 8 mm, but it may feel a little light compared to the head size.

🔗 Quicklink or Eyebolt ?
Quicklink:
the option to be able to switch wicks and ropes very easily. The downside is that it creates a slight wobble. The stalls and throws will be a little harder to have clean, but everything is still possible of course. If you're a beginner, this is a good option.Eyebolt:
Technora is directly attached to the metal piece sticking out of the wick, providing superior feeling and absolutely no wobble, similar to a Contact Poi. You won't be able to switch the wicks and will have to be more careful with soaking.Technora Diameter
8 mm (Single-layered) — Flexible
Smooth and flexible. The go-to option for heads over 150 gr if you want flexibility. Feels amazing for flowers, weaves and body tracing.
Still works for throws thanks to Technora's zero stretch.
Great match if you like flexible ropes like cotton, smithy rope, Play rope, or VPC 8 mm.
9 mm ≃ (6 mm Double-layered) — Rigid
Stable for throws and accurate stalls but not as stiff as static rope : a balanced middle ground.
More flex than static or semi-static ropes, comparable to VPC 10 mm.
Built to last and handle intense use.
12 mm ≃ (8 mm Double-layered) — Rigid
Thick, slow, and very stable. Designed for slow spins and stable throws.
Two layers of thick Technora for extreme durability. No wobble and very precise, but requires more effort to keep momentum.
Largely replaced by Static Kevlar 10 mm for a more versatile feel.
Why Technora?

✔ Lightweight & strong: Weight is much better balanced between wick, rope and handles. With responsible use, Technora generally lasts longer than the wicks themselves.
⚠ Important: Never soak the Technora in fuel. Avoid letting it burn on the ground without movement for more than 10 seconds. Technora handles flames very well as long as it stays in motion, otherwise heat builds up and can degrade the rope quickly. Choreographies and prop extinctions must be adapted accordingly.

Our best seller and often the favorite for poi juggling. Dense, very durable, very grippy, with great UV colors.
Careful: prolonged contact with fuel can damage them. If they swell or become squishy, stop using them and contact us.
Widmar XL (3D printed) — Extra squishy, super comfy. 10 gr
Very soft, flat-bottomed, perfect for 2 poi in 1 hand, they naturally catch each other and sit in place.
Not grippy at all, making releases very easy. Gentle on the wrists, even with high throws.
Fuel-resistant, tear-resistant, and heat-resistant, practically unbreakable. Weight can be adjusted with washers (1 washer = 5 gr).
LED Handles by UltraPoi — Colorful and rechargeable. 26 gr
Can NOT fit Technora 12 mm. Rechargeable. Multiple light patterns. Balanced weight and texture.

How to choose the right poi length?
The right length depends on your body (arm extended, thumb to chest) and your spinning style: shorter for speed and sharp stops, longer for a slower, more grounded flow.
When in doubt, go longer. You can shorten a rope, you cannot add length. We made this tab to give some reference of the average our customers like, but personal experience and preference go first.

Fire Safety
Soak 90% of the head, let the rest absorb naturally. Never soak longer than 2–3 seconds. If fuel drips from the wick, it's already too much. Even on the first burn.
Never let the poi burn without moving for more than 10–15 seconds. Technora can handle fire well while in movement.
Be careful if you have PomGrip, Silicone or LED handles. These can get damaged if kept together with your wicks. Fuel can transfer and degrade the handles permanently. Store your props in a dry place out of direct sunlight: UV slowly degrades the wicks.
Never perform with fire alone: a dedicated safety assistant and a ready-to-use fire blanket are non-negotiable.
